The Leicestershire & Rutland Heritage Forum (LRHF) is for all museums and heritage organisations covering both counties and the city of Leicester. We have over 40 member organisations, largely run by volunteers, who are passionate about preserving, researching and displaying the heritage of their community and sharing it with the world.

During the corona virus situation indoor venues will be closed.  Many organisations will remain active by updating their websites, posting on social media and opening their outdoor sites so that people can get vital exercise and fresh air.  2020 Heritage Awards cancelled.

Looking for a place to visit?

To find an exciting heritage site or museum click on the LRHF Members tab and select either the Members Map or Members List options. Select an organisation and click through to their website or social media page.

The Leicestershire & Rutland Heritage Forum website is a great opportunity to showcase your organisation and site to people who may not even know that you exist. So don’t be shy, tell them how wonderful your heritage site or museum is. To find out more about the Forum’s benefits and activities go to the:

If you would like to make a positive contribution to our heritage, you could volunteer with one of the LRHF members. See member pages for opportunities. While knowledge and skills are an advantage, enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go are more important.
