c/o The Secretary, Grace Villas, 48 James Street, Coalville. , , Council area = North West Leicestershire
Coalville is a relatively new town dating back only about 175 years. The discovery of rich coal seams in the area attracted several industrial entrepreneurs (including George and Robert Stephenson) to lay railways and sink mines. Because of these mines and the miners that worked them grew the town of Coalville.
Our website describes the heritage left by these early miners and engineers, we intend to document the town both past and present because we believe that in today lies tomorrows heritage. Winter talks programme at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ashby Road, Coalville, LE67 3LF.
Society provides speakers and sells publications.
