Loughborough History and Heritage Network was set up in February 2014 as a collaborative project between Loughborough University and the heritage communities of Charnwood.  Collaborators included Charnwood Museum, Charnwood Arts, Loughborough Library Local Studies Volunteers and individuals from local U3A History groups.

In April 2020, Loughborough University released ownership of the website to Alison Mott – one of the project’s founders and the website’s original manager.  We thank them for allowing us this opportunity to keep the stories and photographs already on the site available to the general public.
