Loughborough Carillon Tower & War Memorial Museum was built as a War Memorial to commemorate the fallen of WW1.
Inside there are three floors containing a vast display of military memorabilia. Further up the tower is the clavier room and from where a twice weekly recital is played on the Carillon’s 47 bells. Finally at the balcony a panoramic view of the town and surrounding area can be seen.
The museum is run entirely by volunteers and there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved as a guide or with cataloguing, research or display work.
